10月から11月にかけて京都と大阪で時期を重ねて烏丸由美が２つの展覧会を行います。10月30日（水）からは、大阪、天満橋の小さなギャラリーMANIFESTO Gallery で烏丸由美展
「おもちゃとチャチャチャ！おおベイビー！チャ！チャ！チャ！」が11月8日(金）まで開催されます。皆さまのご来場を心よりお待ち申し上げております。
Regarding the solo exhibition in Osaka,
“Cha-cha-cha with the toys! Oh baby! Cha! Cha! Cha!”
This will consist of16 two-dimensional works, mainly drawings made for the illustrations in her book “KOROSU - I KILL - Koros” (Kappalab Publications), published in Bologna in 2016. This book is based on the texts of performances that Karasumaru has presented over the past 20 years, and is composed of drawings of images and objects related to the stories she tells as a “Storyteller,” in this case works depicting vintage toys, dolls, stuffed animals, and other objects intended for children will be on display for the most part. This is the first time these works have been exhibited.
大阪では去年の個展に続き２回目となる今回は、２０１６年にイタリア、ボローニャで出版された自著「KOROSU - I KILL – コロス」（カッパラブ出版）の挿画のために制作されたドローイングの作品を中心に約20点の平面作品を展示いたします。この本「コロス」は、２０年以上にわたって烏丸が行ってきたパフォーマンスのテキストを主軸に、彼女が語る「ストーリーテラー・語り部」のお話にまつわるイメージや、オブジェ等の挿画をドローイングの作品にしたもので，昔懐かしいオモチャや、お人形、ぬいぐるみ等、子供たちを対象にしたものが中心となっています。関西では初公開の作品群です。
