"The Storyteller, il narratore 2020 - Il nome di quell'uomo e Pasquale"

  Yumi Karasumaru’s performances combine the expressive tools of Japanese theater with those of the Western performance, as well as in her paintings, echoes of tradition are commingled with Japanese pop culture.
  For the occasion the artist will be presenting her new piece “The Storyteller, il narratore 2020 - Il nome di quell’uomo è Pasquale,” dedicated to Pasquale Ribuffo (Scilla 1941 - Bologna 2018), one of the founders of Galleria De’ Foscherari.
  
  It tells the story of Pasquale, his ties to his birthplace of Scilla (one of the most beautiful towns in Italy), his extraordinary work with the gallery, and his encounter with a spirit guide. The artist composes a poetic narrative of the gallerist’s life, using her body, voice, and song, along with hypnotic images.
