"The Story-teller, il narratore 2018 - The Four Pop Songs"

• Yumi presents a new performance "The Story-teller 2018, The Four Pop Songs" (duration about 15 minutes).
  Yumi combines the expressive modes of the Japanese theatre with Western performance style.  In her artwork the memory of traditional Japanese painting coexists with her native country's contemporary pop culture.
  This new performance "The Four Pop Songs" is based on a selection of Japanese "POP" songs from different periods. The songs are stripped of the music and the words are punctuated using projections on the body of the artist dressed in a white kimono that becomes a screen to tell stories.  Successive "landscape" landscapes of Tokyo, Manga characters, her paintings, and other useful images are represented.  
  The musical accompaniment, a collaboration with the extraordinary musician Enrico Serotti, is perfectly choreographed with the scene improvisation.
